The Sight

Whether you’re saying them, thinking them, or screaming into the void– Words Matter. As a self-appointed word nerd, I’ve spent many hours considering the various meanings of words like psychic, seer, oracle, clairvoyant, clairaudio, empath, medium, energy healer… so many words!

What I notice most is that certain words carry some pretty heavy expectations with them. When someone tells you they’re psychic, you expect them to know a who lot of personal and private information in great detail. You expect them to have all the answers, too. For myself, the day I successfully predict million dollar lottery numbers? That’s the day I’ll call myself a psychic.

So what am I? What does it mean that I often experience other peoples’ emotions, trace the energy of their individual life journey, see how they carry emotional energy in their body, predict the challenges and opportunities they are likely to encounter if they don’t make some changes in the way they live their life? What does it mean that the dead speak to me? How do I explain that I can see and interpret energy fields?

I’ve tried on a lot of labels and professional titles over the years since I “went pro” in 2008. Before that, my abilities were just these weird things that happened to me whether I wanted them or not. Now, I have office hours. Healthy boundaries to help me navigate all the extra senses and hidden information and unseen visitors that used to constantly bombard me. Back when nobody knew what an empath was, or a life coach, or an energy worker. I had all the titles before they were cool.

And honestly, thinking about it that way makes me laugh. Because the one thing I’ve never claimed to be is mainstream cool.

The one constant is that I see my work as a bridge– a way to connect the living and the dead, a way to connect the person and the knowledge they need to move their life forward in a good way. I build healing bridges of pure spiritual energy. And anytime I’m not doing my job, my guides and guardians, helpers and ancestors tend to get kinda loud. I have work to do in this world.

Do you see what I see? Do you want to? Let’s talk.
